Good Morning Fam!
It’s FRIDAY!! The weekend is here! This morning, I am writing from my front porch. It is chilly this morning, and I wanted to sit out here and just enjoy the peace. I've got my coffee and am ready to welcome the weekend.
It has been an absolute wild ride on TikTok this week. For the most part, I keep my TikTok funny because I think people need to smile when they are on their doom scroll journey. But this week was a whole new animal.
Over the past weekend, rapture talk took over my entire “For You Feed.” As a spiritual witch who has been through religious trauma as a child, I can tell you that this past week has been very triggering for me. On the date of the supposed rapture, I couldn’t even make a video. I was in bed doom scrolling, watching people scared for their lives, and others laughing at the people triggered by the events. I watched a woman give up custody of her kids, because apparently her kids were too bad to be raptured? I thought the kids were innocent and would be the first to be raptured. She is now dealing with CPS to attempt to get those kids back. Will CPS give them the kids back? What happens now to those people who bought someone’s car for $15? Are they now expected to give it back?
Lastly, the entirety of TikTok now knows of the pediatric dentist who admitted in front of a full crowd of people that she turns down the “gas” on patients who do not agree with her politically. BUT she works with kids!! Kids don’t vote; it’s the parents, and she is punishing kids for their political beliefs. I have seen online that she has been reported so many times via email, and now people are waiting on hold for over 20 minutes to speak to someone. I hope that this situation gets taken care of immediately!
Now on to what I am working on currently.
I am blogging again, which makes me happy. I am happy if you are reading! I am trying to find the balance in my life. TikTok has taken over my life for the past year, but that was to be expected as a new creator. I found my corner of TikTok and have built a real community. When my car needed work last year, it was my community on TikTok that came forward and bought my crochet hats, and I was able to contribute to it getting fixed. I am grateful to my community. Without my family that I have built on TikTok, I don’t know how I would have gotten through the divorce.
From the moment I announced the divorce online, it’s hard to keep that kind of secret online when it becomes public knowledge in your local community. It always makes its way online, so I beat everyone to the punch; my online community has had my back. I have friends who scour the internet looking for people who “become” me online and try to scam people. I WILL NEVER CONTACT YOU AND ASK FOR MONEY! I SELL CROCHET ITEMS ONLINE OCCASIONALLY; HOWEVER, I WILL NEVER ASK YOU DIRECTLY FOR MONEY!!! If you are getting a message from me and are unsure if it is really me, don’t talk to that person! There are direct avenues to get in touch with me. Don’t get scammed in my name, please!!!
Sorry, that was a tangent. Now back to writing.
I am working on a fanfic of The Love Boat called The Boat. It takes place in 2025, and we will see familiar faces in the beginning to get the new boat back into business. There are only a few characters from the original that are young enough to actually be working in the boating industry.
During my research, I was surprised at the size of the boat in the show. It would have carried under 600 passengers and would have had at minimum 350 crew to run the boat. We see some crew, such as dining room staff and some housekeeping staff, but we mainly see the main characters. In my story, we will see more of the staff become regulars who interact with passengers on The Boat. I love the revolving cast of characters; however, I want us to focus on the crew in the beginning to get to know the new Docs, yes, plural. I want you to love the new cruise director as much as we love Julie. We have new characters to fall in love with! π
One of my favorite episodes of The Love Boat is season 7, episode 13, where a passenger had a shipboard fling/romance with the ship's engineer. I love it when she asks what a lever does, and she gets the oil straight to the face!! πππ Don’t ask if I have a single favorite episode, it’s way too hard to choose.
Well, now you are caught up with this week. How goes it in your corner of the world? Do you have plans for the weekend? Let me know in the comments. I want to know fam!
Just remember how much this weirdo here in Texas loves and appreciates you! I really do fam! BYE π
Love,
P

PS. I just found out that there is a Love Boat reunion leaving Galveston, Texas, in November with some of the original cast aboard. I would love to be there, but with me moving away from Texas, it is not in my future, but if you go, I want autographs and pictures! PLEASE OH PLEASE!
