Happy Thursday, The Weekend Is Almost Here!

Well, here we are on Thursday, and I am looking forward to the weekend once again! Do you have any plans for the weekend? My bestie has a birthday this weekend, and we will be meeting at the library this week. I cannot wait to see my Twin Bear!

This week has been an up-and-down week for me. I got the paperwork completed for my name change back to my maiden name. I have been asked why I am going back to the OG name since I have had this last name for almost twenty years. The reason I am over being someone else… I am Peggy (insert last name), and that is who I will be forever!!! I will never change it again, not for anyone. Besides, Mawow likes his new last name!! 😽

Did you know, GenXfromTex was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania? The first time I moved to Texas, I was a teenager, and then I returned to PA to live with my mom. My second foray to Texas was during my first marriage, what a damn mistake!!

When I left Texas in 2004 after being cheated on, I swore I would never move back, but then I met the manchild and married in 2006. We were living in Florida until I got sick. (If y’all want to hear about that, I have some wild stories) 

We then moved to Pennsylvania to be near my family during the time of recovery after being in a coma, where his family tried to have me unplugged on day 4! After being home for almost two years, his job moved us to Texas. I should have known that the state that I love with every fiber of my being doesn’t love me back. This time, I will be happy to be moving home to Pennsylvania this time.
