Good morning fam!🌞
I’m starting my blog post early this morning. I’m going to spend some time packing more things today, and I have a few posts recorded that are ready to be uploaded. Not sure that I will fit them in today! 📦📦 I am trying to stay ahead of life at this point. Some days go by so slowly, and others feel like I am moving in fast forward. I’m looking for the day everything equalizes out. That will happen, right?
The first thing I did this morning was run to the corner convenience store to visit my friend, Mary. There are so many convenience stores around me, but the day I met Mary, I knew she was destined to be a friend, and when I move, I want to take her with me. Mary makes the best Community Coffee out there!! ☕☕☕
When we saw this townhouse for the first time, I knew it was meant to belong to me, but I guess that wasn’t a permanent choice. 🏘️🏡🏠It was the first time in my married life that I was living somewhere that felt like home. But, it really doesn’t feel like home anymore.
I have been living like he is just my roommate until I can leave. However, he dropped some news that was brand new to me. Which was the reason I needed Mary this morning…
1. Apparently, I was the one who asked for this divorce. 😱 (I honestly do not ever remember asking for this.) I was told that on a Monday in December, I told him I wanted a divorce. That is why I filed… (I did not file; he did) He is changing the narrative to tell his girlfriend and her current husband. Hope the thruple works out! 👨👨👦 Mary’s jaw hit the floor when I told her this!
2. Apparently, I stole money from him. He denies saying this, but your girl always keeps receipts. I was told I stole his money while we were married. (insert shocked face here) I never took his money. I had to ask for everything. If I needed food, I had to ask, or God forbid, he had a few pretzels missing from his stockpile. 🥨🤬Remind me to tell you the story of the pretzels!
As you can see, it's been a great morning all the way around… Let's get on to the good stuff.
This past weekend, I met River at the mall, and we created as much chaos as two old ladies could. We went to every store that we wanted to see. Five Below is fun, but the aisles are so close and the store is always crowded. 👩🦼
Of course, we hit up Spirit of Halloween. This year, it is in the mall instead of some random closed store in a strip mall. I didn’t buy anything, but River got a witch’s hat, and mine should be coming this week from the TikTok shop. I am planning on wearing it to the library when we meet this coming Saturday. 🧙♀️🧙♀️
I introduced River to my friends who work at Auntie Anne’s Pretzels. They are the most fantastic bunch of people, and they are STARS in my book. They wanted to watch the videos we made around the mall, and I got new followers! Our family community is growing, and I love it. I have two sisters, two step-sisters, and a step-brother, but I always have room in my heart for more brothers and sisters. 💜
Sunday and Monday were spent creating videos to post later in the month and making a couple of TikTok Shop videos. I no longer accept just anything from the shop. I am getting stuff I want and need. If I want it, I try to get it. Why not? 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Yesterday, I was hurting so much. I will be glad to see my mom’s doctor up north to help get the pain under control. Mawow and I spent the day lying in bed watching movies on the Kanopy App. I get 10 tickets a month (free with your library card) to watch whatever I want on the app. We started with April and the Extraordinary World, which was a fun watch. I am saving two tickets to watch again, and when I can, I am going to buy the DVD.
Then Mawow😻and I watched Royal Wedding, and we fell asleep watching A Letter to Momo. We will continue watching that today while I go through my clothes. I never realized how much of a clothes hoarder I have become. I went from a size 22 to a size 4/6, and I have the clothes to prove it. I have managed to keep the weight off for two years, and I think I can give away or donate some of the clothes.
I did find out that my cousin and I wear the same size clothes and shoes. We are going to have a family fashion show and share closets. It’s a great way to save money and get use out of clothes that are still good to wear, but I have worn repeatedly, they will be new to her closet.
For the holidays this year, I am going to make homemade baked goods and simmer pots, but I am going to have a clothing exchange with family and friends. I will keep you posted if you want to get involved. Y’all are family.
Well, this is getting pretty long, so I will close for now. Come back Friday evening or Saturday morning for the weekly round-up.
Have an amazing day, fam.
Love,
P

Never forget how much this weirdo here in Texas loves and appreciates every single one of you!
